Look like aftermarket truck flares. Those Volare based "kit cars" the flares came on all came with 15x8 wheels with wide tires and looked the part.
“Visually, it’s a ’66 Dodge Dart 2-door hardtop with KPGC10 Nissan Skyline GT-R styling cues. Mechanically, it’s a BMW E34. You have to love Indonesia”View attachment 1716166579

I like flares if they are incorporated with like styling. The Petty Kit cars, Super Coupes, Aspen RT those were all sharp lookin cars. The OP's question wasn't about the "whole package". It was about flares specifically. Just stickin flares on something with no other same styling is stupid looking. He's a member here too, @yeah

Wow, that's a crazy build! Very well done by the looks of it. Definitely not everyone's cup of tea, but they hit all the marks for the JDM style. Also, a good example of how much work goes into making it all look right.

But we had fun! How were we supposed to know, at the time...LOL.......Back in '81, I had a buddy that cut the rear fenders of an AMC Gemlin and weld them onto a mint, southern states, 1966 Comet. Man we did some goofy **** back then.
Cars like that aren't even my cup of tea, but I like um done right like that one would be! It's cool!I like em. Especially this. I dunno. Reminds me of the old Datsunofabitch 280z.
