That's a red bracket that goes on something...

How about more info about what year, make, and model car you are working on...

When you post a picture like that, it's much easier for people to know what it might be if you place an object like a coin, dollar bill, etc. next to it. Gives us an idea of size.....

Asking the owner to bring the reinforcement bracket for the DS door mirror and he brings me these two pieces. Again thanks for the help....it's well appreciated.

Ok, this is remote mirror....and again I didn't take the car apart to know for sure either way. I asked if he had one and he showed up and said he had found them! I was like these don't even line up with the studs on the mirror and why are there two when he only has a DS mirror........LOL....anyways awesome thanks for the help.
 
For this application it likely has a nut with a captive washer on the mirror stud & a chrome plated screw in the rear position.
