Say ..........do you guys recall what this moulding is from. It's has to be from an abody mopar because that is what my brother and I have parted out over the years. do not recall what it is from..........

I have this one and Need one more.
Any clues ?

I thought it was from a dart gt door panel lower mouldings but it has clips that would suggest fastenin into metal panels. lower door panel mouldings had little tags on the backside that you would bend over to the cardboard backing on the door panel.
or maybe it could be from a door belt moulding. moulding is 1/2" wide concaved in the middle with rounded edges. and is 40 inches long. one end is straight cut across and other end is cut on angle . both outside rounded edges are the same height . pics are deceiving . no part numbers stamped any where.
need this other moulding for a project I working on.
what do you think !

Thanks !
john

Can you post a pic of the clips? It looks pre 70 and maybe even pre 67

inside door, door panel slides up into it.
jaws
I no what you are referring to but.............. there is no other metal hanging off the side of moulding to ajoin to the door so the panel can slide up into.. like a 68 dart or cuda style

That's the same molding that was at the top of my door panel on my 1968 dart

upper moldings on the 68-69 dart cuda did not snap on with clips .. the mouldings had a metal plate that the mouldings was attached to and the the hole piece was screwed on.

Outside of door by the window channel..Trim molding that goes next to the window whiskers.

it's nothing like I ever seen on a 68 69 dart cuda .. the moulding has a round concave thru the middle. the edges are rounded off on each side. front surface

Maybe on a 66 and older car. This is the 67-72 dart outside trim your talking about (pic 1) and the interior door panel trim (pic 2). That trim is 66 and older

maybe it came off a 64 dart gt .
I got a bunch of left over mouldings with that car years ago.

Looks like a 60s or 70s gm door panel trim.
Lots of GM years and models had them. The angle cut on one
end means it is the top front end of moulding. They usually
had a upper & lower. Lowers were square cut on
both ends.

Hey Guys .........I appreciate all you input ..

but I have just about ran out of resources to look up and compare this moulding to.
I Searched the web high and low nothing yet on mopars .

I went back as far as 1954 mopar . 54 dodge is very very close but that moulding has that extra metal along the sides to attach to the cardboard backing. it's concaved/dished in , in the center just like the one I posted here.

possible hood trim for the ridge down the middle of the hood? Although with the curve at the end -- it is more likely a door /trim piece-- some of the early valiants had twin lines of trim-- with the curve a door top comes to mind, Lawrence

talking about the top of the door trim-- not the side molding-- very thin with the push clips & an angle on the pice to match the door .

all the 67-69 darts and cudas ... top belt mouldings were all flat .... mine is concaved /dished in ... in the middle . I think some of the guys posted pics of them here.

would have been nice if it had a part number on it.
