Ok that gives me something to work towards. As best I read is that a 98 SS/T can run low to mid 15's. Just trying to figure if simple things can help lower the ET enough. But it looks like I would have to do a rebuild to get that quick. I know good tires and converter will help but I don't think it will help enough.
 
A little over 300 hp. If everything else is perfect it could be done with a stock 318 long block in a 3/4 ton truck.
 
I gotta local friend who has a 5300 pound Plymouth wagon runnin 12.70s with a stock bore and stroke 440. I wonder what he's got? lol
 
Cool. He's fixin to build a mean 512 to chunk in it.
 
That's good news. The Ram SS/T's came with 245-250hp depending on where you read. With a little tuning 13's should be doable, now it would be really high 13's but still one none the less.
 
Gross, but these calculations don't take into consideration, reaction time and traction. So I'd say your chassis would have to be set up right along with everything else.

reaction time has nothing to do wit ET, the clocks don't start until the front wheel breaks the beams. you could set there all day after the light turns green and not affect ET.
 
But that sure would kill hell outta your reaction time. lol
 
Ok so I finally got a little time to sit and fiddle with the calculator and what I got was 13.993 seconds would need 275hp at the rear wheels. But it says 306 at the flywheel, how many vehicles are efficient enough to only lose 10% HP from flywheel to rear wheel? Aren't most cars like 20% or more? Or am I smoking crack?
