Going to go get some Autolites tomorrow so I can cut the plug wires for my 360, I know the 66's are stock, should I run a little cooler though? Will be running about 10:1 compression on stock "J" heads. I was thinking 64's, to much maybe?

Thanks

The colder plugs would be ok for an engine that sees the strip only but I assume you're going to drive it on the street. Cold plugs tend to foul in stop and go driving. I run Autolite 66's in my 360 with 11.5 compression and W2 heads. Race only vehicle. They burn clean, etc. I would stay with the 66's. Good choice with the Autolite's they last long!

Use the stock heat range. If you find a problem or want to experiment, just go one step cooler. It is probably not going to require 2 or more steps colder for any street ride.

If you have a good multi spark ignition the colder plugs would survive. After i put one on my car ( I used a Mallory), I'd never have a muscle car without one. With the colder plugs you will also lessen the possibility of detonation, allowing you to possibly run more initial timing. They work good if you decide to spray it, too.

Well, I'll be using stock ignition (curved though), so I'll run the 66's. I wasn't sure if I needed the cooler plugs due to the higher compression.

Thanks guys :)
