what tires came stock in 68?

I have a tire code of 39 on the broadcast sheet, which according to the white book is a e70 x 14 whitewall, should they be firestones or goodyears? Is that code for white walls or could it have been white letters?

No white letters till 70. It would be white walls or redlines. In your case white walls it is. I believe they should be good year. I dont think Mopar ever used Firestone.

I have the original spare in my trunk. Its a Firestone Wide oval, redline, E70-14...

I talked to a guy at coker and he said firestone supersports wide oval with a 3/8 whitewall, he said the same thing about the white letters.....thanks for the help
