What to do with gas evap hose?

Hey All:

I'm using aftermarket valve covers and air cleaner, so I don't have anyplace to run the evap hose, or at least I think that's what it is.

There's a hard line coming from the tank, it runs up the inner fender on the passenger side then goes to rubber. It was attached to the cannister on the passenger side valve cover previously.

Any tips or suggestions appreciated, especially if it will help curb the gas smell coming from the hose.

Cut it at the rear, then figure how to bend/filter, to keep the water out.
