My car is painted, but the painter “didn’t want to spray over unknown work”, (which I can understand) so he said he would do all the prep work.
Well, overall, I think I would have done a better job, and he left town for a “family issue”.
He didn’t do anything in the gutters and now I have open gaps where the skin meets the structure. I assume seam sealer, so my thought was to seal it and hide it with a vinyl top.
What do you guys think, good plan?
I can get better photos, that was first thing this morning.
1) Is seam sealer the best thing to use in this case, or since it will be hidden, is there something better I should opt for?

2) do I need to spray something over the seam sealer to then protect it before covering it with the vinyl?

3) any other suggestions?

4) will the vinyl top adhesive be fine on the clear coat (no waxes or treatments) or should it be skuffed?

Check the search function out, it may have some information you can use.

Have a friend who runs a restoration shop right down the road and he uses Lord Fusor almost exclusively.

If you elect to use seam sealer read the instructions carefully. It may require primer prior to using seam sealer.
