What year is my Slant?

Hi, I am trying to figure out if anyone can tell me what year my motor is. The car is a 65 wagon. It has a 4 speed on the floor which the PO told me he thought was from a 68 or 69. I just took a look at the numbers on the side of the block but there is not much light in the garage here at work. I think this is it 28068302 not sure about the last few. Here is a pic from back when I got it. And one of the shifter.

The numbers needed for engine ID are stamped on a pad facing the sky at the top of the block below the frontmost spark plug, inboard of the alternator lower support/coil bracket. You'll probably have to clean away the grease and grime to find them.
