I just found a set of factory-adjustable rockers someone is selling. He's asking $80, which means I can probably get them for less.

What is a set of these going for these days? They'd probably sit on the shelves for a while. If that's a good deal, it's worth taking up the space. If it's a fair price, I'm on the fence... already have plenty of garage art, y'know?

Brad, I don't think that is a bad price for them, so long as the adjusting screws are able to be turned and taken out if need be.

Yeah....I've seen them with the adjusters kind of loose in the rocker.....which.....yeah, maybe you could lock-tite them up, but.....your call. Just check 'em out good first. Also, see if they've had some galling going on inside their bore, where they pivot on the shaft.

I used to love snagging sets of those suckers @ Pick-A-Part, back when they were a little easier to find.....especially on the old A-100 vans with the 273's.

When I was in auto mehanics school in the early 1970's I worked on a slant six. The adjusting screws were a bit loose & the instructor had me tighten them by flattening out the hole in the rocker a bit. Don't remember if we used a hammer or just squeezed them in a vise but it worked. This was on my mom's car & we held on to it for a few more years. Don't recall ever having a problem with them needing adjustment more than usual afterward. Not sure if this is a Chrysler/Dodge/Plymouth approved repair method.
