Whats everyone running for gears?

What are you running for rear gears

3.23's here.. perfect for cruising, and still good enough to get a little silly with LOL
 
I had 4.10,s in my 73 D.S,took them out and put the 3.23,s back in.In my 66 Dart I had 3.91,s and swapped to a 4.30 spool(and taller tires)good thing,as the 3.91,s had a broken tooth.Crunch,crunch.Glad I caught it on time,before mulched into little pieces.
 
my Signet runs a 3:55 suregrip with a 727 trans which the first gear ratio is 2:45 and the tire height is 25" so in reality comes out of the hole nicely but I am considering running a T56 trans which has a first gear of 2:66 and 4th gear is 1 to 1 and both 5th ( .62 ) and 6th ( .50 ) are overdrives which should give better balance to all around street driving as well as coming out of the hole. Yet I may change the 3:55 to 2:76 and still come out of the hole like it has 3:55 because of the T56's first gear of 2:66

This is reality for today and something they wanted yesterday

I don't drive it much and when I do it's not that far... I would like to have 3.91 or 4.10
 
Running 4.10's in the Valiant, street, strip, or running down the Interstate at 70 mph for an hour straight :snakeman:

I have a 4.56 Suregrip sitting in my shop, may try it someday :-D
 
at this very moment, my mechanic is swapping out the stock 3:23's to go to 3:91's
 
On my 68 cuda with 318 I have a 355 sure grip. On my 70 dart street/strip/autocross Dart with 408 I have a 373 with a detroit locker in my dana 60...
 
3.91 for now but will build and install a A500 which will cut it down to about 2.50 in OD
 
4.56 suregrip posi in my 489 center 8 3/4 in my 72 duster

have not had a chance to really drive the car yet as it is still under construction but I don't drive on the highway really anyhow so it should be ok for cruising around town.
 
I have 3.55's with a 27" tire...

My dad is searching for a set of 3.91s seeing as how my 3.55s broke.......

But I'd love to have 3.73s in it.
 
I have 3:55s in the dart bu would like 3:91s,the buzzin half dozen would really buzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz then.
 
4.10, but I'm not on the road yet or even figured out what size tire I'm going with.
 
i ve been running 4.56 all summer
not to bad but canna be to much a bit LOL

4000 rpm on the high way

but I have 4.10 and 3.55
 
2.94 in 340 4 speed duster
3.55 in formula s 4 speed
3.73 in 5 speed vega
3.08 in 6 pack cuda
3.55 in 73 34o cuda
amx all high the high 2's
 
I'm running 3:55's ,I got a hold of several other cases including one with 2:76 gears hoping one day to take it on a long road trip!
