i need some help with wheel ideas please. no better people to ask than on here. my 71 dart. the color will stay the same on the bottom and though it had a vinyl top in the past, the roof is black paint and may get bedliner coating to look like a sprayed on top. all chrome will stay on it and i have spare chrome for the rf fender that is missing at this time. i am old school, so no 16-20 inch wheels. fronts will probably be 15x6 and after we get the springs moved into the frame rails, it will have an a body dana, close to stock width with 3.54 gears. possibly 15x7 or 15x8. it will also have a 1996 5.9 magnum that will have the stock f.i. and a low gear set 904 lock up. not a race car. saturday night ice cream/cruising car. if someone can photo shop the pic and add their idea of wheels, that would be great. as of now, no engine in it and front end has been changed to big bolt pattern. thanks in advance.

powder coated satin black cop wheels with dog dish caps.

cooper cobras with the blackwalls out, 215/65's up front, 235/60's out back

ETA: didn't see you were moving the springs. i guess go a litte bigger in the back, but i'd leave the front the same

These are some pretty cheap wheels from Summit Racing, American Racing Torque thrust D's https://www.tirerack.com/wheels/Whe...BwE:G:s&s_kwcid=AL!3756!3!!!!x!!&gclsrc=aw.ds.
They are period correct for Pre 66 Gasser class so we bought them for the front $150

The springs are moved into the frame rails in the rear so we bought 15 x 12's with a 7 1/2 BS in steel for the rear. They are only $100 each from Bair wheels. We already have 15x12;s on the car but they are not pre 66 so the are not legal in the gasser class.

You can run 15x10's with a 6 1/2 BS on your Dart. The reason we went with steel on the rear because 12's would be special order in the torque thrust D's and would be two piece. Our car would rip the centers out. These would give your car the old school look and not break the Bank in cost.

Pro comp or Bassett steel stock car style wheels and cooper cobras. They are pretty much the best bang for the buck in 2023 that I've found.
I sprung and extra $500 for American RacingTorquethrust 2's but they are more expensive now.
My next build is getting Bassett D hole 15x8's. $95 a wheel...

down to 2 wheels. took one of the pro stars off my wagon and mounted it on the front of the dart. it is now between pro stars and magnum 500's

90% sure going with magnum 500. moving springs into frame rails and going to get the correct width and bs wheel. i looked at the prostars and 1 15x4 costs 362.00. i can buy 3 jegs look-a-like prostars. 2- 15x4 and 1-15x7/8 for the price of 1 real prostar. just not sure i like the jegs look-a-like lug nut holes.

tes, those are the ones i was talking about. the lugnuts go down into the wheels unlike the real prostars, that are centered on lugs.

I got the dot legal ones, with the lug nuts and a 10% discount it was under $400 to my door. I just removed the Bassett racing sticker and they look like red line steelies.
