Here's a repost from Tires and Wheels forum:

I'm ordering all the stuff for my front end rebuild. However, I don't know what the specs are for the wheel studs. I have Draglites, and need to install longer studs.

I know they are 1/2-20, and that I need 2.5 or 3" stud length, but what diameter does the knurl head need to be.....anybody????

It's a '75 Dart Sport, front disc brakes...

With any wheel stud change, it is always best to find a reputable tire shop, and have them decide what is best. I have seen guys do lots of stupid things with studs, and safety was not ever a factor.(myself included). It's worth the extra few bucks to have it done right. If you still want to do it yourself, knock one out, check it with a Vernier gauge, and order accordingly. Sometimes longer studs require the hubs to be drilled out a bit.

a good old fashion NAPA parts store, with some experenced counter help, will have the specs on the knurl dia. of your stud. when you find this out , look in the moroso catalog. i have done this on my car. the trick is finding a real parts man!!!!!!!!!!

All the info on stud sizes is in the Year One catalog.

"73-76 A-body Front with Disks: 1/2"-20 x 1 5/8" with .620" knurl diameter"

Well, I did the easy thing and just ordered wheel studs from Mopar Performance. 3" total length.

They are the perfect length. When torqed they are right at the end of my shank lug nuts. Only $17 for a set of 10 ($14 if you're lucky enough to have a wholesale discount :thumblef: )

I just did that myself on the cuda. Before you open all the packages i'd check to see if they're right or not.I ordered some from summit and they assured me they were the right size. But they weren't!!!!!Luckily they exchanged they with no problem. But they didn't like that i had opened all of the packages.Just a word of advice.
