what wheelie bars does most of you racers run,car used to wheel stand 1 foot before and that's with front end travel limiters, and ran 9.70s,1.35 60s before, now with 540 and tunnel ram ,just don't want to put it on the bumper, should I just get the weld on compition enegnieering that jegs sell,or does someone has a better one they run

stiffen front shocks or shorten travel more also stiffen rear shocks and add air to rear tires too!

I was told to avoid the blade bottom style because they have too much flex. I was also told they are not there to control the wheel stand (slower cars), the tuning should be made in the shock rate like others have said.

Your at the speed now that a wheelstand is getting kinda dangerous so a bar is the right move.
I bought the Jegs kit and the alston springs and fabbed up my own. Plan on also buying a good set of wheels as the black ones in the kits are poop. You will also need to set it up so at the hit the bar don't get driven into the ground and unload the tires. here is a vid of my bars in action.

wheelsup,i did check out lisa pic of this yesterday as I went on you tube looking for any vids on wheelie bars,i seen these didn't touch the ground but there set high,i know this car can stand it on the bumper

wheels up,after much searching and checking out other bars,i thought to take your advised,i did purchase the 40027 from jegs yesterday, and the spring kit from alston yesterday as I was reading on the springs or sprung wheelie bars as they help soften a hard launch,i was reading in there instructions online on the bars to set the bars at 5",i can weld and fabacate so ill be putting together and welding this up,also I understand about the cheap wheels that come with the kit,any tuning help would be great,i took the dart out sunday for the first time after putting the 540 in this year,on a fresh prep track the first pass I put it on the bumper on the trans brake with a 3800 chip, after taking out the 4200 chip at home knowing going there I would have wheelstand trouble, next pass,i decided just to footbrake at idle and ran a 5.97,next pass footbrake brought the frontend high,so thought ill pack it up till I get bars
