I think you will have issues with 8" wide on the rear. 7" is about all the wider you can go.

The front is pretty limited - and depending how/if you add a front sway bar it could cause some rubbing at full clock. The rear can support a little wider. All based on stock- not tubed or relocation
Front - 215s (i've heard of people running 225s - must have done tweaks or have a lot of rubbing)
Rear - 235s for sure ( i am running) and I am confident 245s would fit

This tool takes the guess work out of it - but you will have to drill it for 4" bolt pattern

I have 14x7 rims with 245/60/14 tires on the rear of my 66 Valiant. It fits nicely without any rubbing, but I couldn't get any more width without moving the springs, mini-tubbing, or rolling the fender lips. The fronts are 205/70/14 on 14x5.5 rims. All are SBP. Here's what it looks like.

I upgraded fron 7.25 to 8.75. Had to rehab the rear anyhow, so cut and fit with 15x8 with 4.5 backspace. Plenty of room.
