When Installing Brake Pads Do You...?

-
I like to use anti seize on the pistons rather than coat the back of the pad.

I use that orange stuff as directed. sort of an RTV I guess..

The factory installs them dry. Just make sure to use the factory shims that go between the pistons and the back of the pads. Good quality brake pads come with factory installed shims. Also Ceramic pads are quieter, less dusty and easier on your rotors. Non directional finish on rotor faces. Use proper brake in procedure that the pad manufacturer recommends. Makes a big difference on noises and braking efficiency.

Also if you read the factory service manual, they show bending the ears on the pads to optimize fit

Your talking about 73-76 A body, SINGLE piston disc brakes.
The OP is asking about 65-72 KH, 4 piston disc brakes.
Totally different animals.
