Wife is working in her garden I just grilled now time to clean wife's car..God bless all our service people and veterans:usflag::usflag::usflag::usflag:

Standing in my garage, watching the rain fall on a dreary cold windy day, which I think is fitting. Getting mist-eyed, thinking of those that have fallen.. so we all can have the luxury of spending our time on 50 year old cars.

Playing outside with the kids and working under dash, thankful to all those that made it possible.

My flag is at half staff in the front yard in honor of the ones who allowed me to finish the assembly of my new car rotisserie, with heavy metal and hard rock, playing in the background. Salute!

Have some friends who are opening a new restaurant in Englewood, tonight is their friends and family opening, and then a couple days till the real opening.

So very true! I admit I get very meloncoly (spell) LOL. on this day. Just a leisurely day at home with the wife and critters. But all day long, I have memories of my friends and family already gone long before me. I have flashbacks of dogs and horses I had to put down. Remembering friends that lost a child.
I was reading of a high school friend, 2 weeks ago, he is a few years older than me. He was giving his account of his best friend that made it thru his tour in Nam, to return home for 3 years before he took his life. No one ever knew why or how.
I guess I needed more too do today to keep busy.. Misty eyed a lot today.
Dinner? BBQ pork roast, fresh green beans and yellow squash from the garden, fresh green salad. Maybe a little ice cream for desert??
