I just picked up one at Moparfest,Ontario. It,s an original for $250.00.The one I got from year-one I sent back(junk)and It cost $340.00.I,d keep my eyes open at swap meets, mopar shows. There out there!

PG classics is selling them on ebay. They are a new piece so I dont know how well they fit but they look real nice.

Hey guys, thanks for all the links...ive checked em out and they look good...only thing is they much more than what i was looking to spend...my dad got a custom 5 inch hemi scoop for his dart here in Canada and he only paid 150 at the most....but he had to wait for a long time to have it done since the guy was kind of slack....even still though, he got quite a good deal...im gonna keep looking for something priced decent and fits well

Im going to look into the one at PG classics since they are in Canada and shipping will be cheaper for me...does anybody know if the original snorkels were actually functionable (ram air style) or were they just for style? I also noticed that this one has a seam that goes around it- is that how the originals were as well?

I bought one from year one around 5 years ago and I now have an original scoop. The year one scoop is horrible compared to the original. I also had to do a lot of prep work to the year one scoop to make it look decent.

here is a link to the scoop...if you click the image you can see a close up of how it looks like 2 peices joined together...i called PG and they told me they manufacture it in house and that the seam is supposed to be there because thats how the factory original was, and this is an exact replica....is this true? just want to make sure before i buy it? and does anybody know if the original snorkels are functional scoops? other than stuff, it seems like a nice product

The factory scoop has a seam and looks like 2 pieces. The year one scoops are one piece and have no seem, and look nothing like a factory scoop. I just checked out the PG Classic scoop and it looks just like my original scoop.

and does anybody know if the original snorkels are functional scoops? other than stuff, it seems like a nice product

Cars that originall came with this scoop have 2 holes in the hood under the scoop. Heres a pic. of an original 340 Demon hood on my 72 Demon.

thanks 72demon 340 for the info...im going to give them a call today and ask them if the scoop is functional and if it will fit the contour of the hood on my scamp (raised area in the middle)...its listed for a 70-72 duster which is the same hood, but i just want to make sure...anybody tried this PG classic scoop yet out of curiousity? i cant understand why the twin snorkel style is sooo expensive compared to other styles, but oh well

I bought a nice one about three years ago from Mopars by Crane. It needed just a slight fine tuning to fit the center ridge on my son's Dart Sport hood.
