Where do I go?

Growing up in NYC (Queens) I knew most of the "spots" and when & where to go. That was 30+ years ago. Where are some of the better cruise spots now? I'm planning on visiting my sister in the not-too-distant future but would like to catch up on what's going on there.

Bellmore Train station on Friday nights. There cold be an easy 3,000 cars in this informal known gathering.

Tues. and Thursday nights at Bald Hill cultural center. L.I.E. Exit 63 North for about 3 miles. ( I mostly go on Tuesdays. Small entrance fee bennifits the F.D.
Same amount of cars as Bellmore train station, but being about 40 miles East, not the same cars. (Some maybe)

Theres a paper called the Bargin News/Specail Interst paper that has a listing from New J to Maine on whats happening.
Theres a few spots in Brooklyn that have something listed as well.
