Hello Out There!!

Need some advice.

Which Eddy Carb should I use on a mild 360 . auto. ?
I want to try the Eddy carb as I currently have a Holley Street Avenger .

Is a 600 enough and is worth to go to the Thunder series which the adjustable secondary or just use a straight Performer version only.

THanks in Advance!

Why wouldn't you want to stick with the street Avenger?

Why no the Holley? Everytime I drive the car for a distance , shut it off, restart the car with in a short duration, it won't run worth a **^. It idles horrible, loads up and stays that way until I drive again for a while. It will do the same thing sometimes on a first start of the day. Also it seems when the motor gets hot, stop and go traffic the idle again becomes erratic. I am very sure it is carb. At first I thought it was the old point igntion problem but I install the Mopar Electronic kit into the car.

THe EDDY carb in the Performer or Thunder series only come 600 or 750 or am I wrong?? For a Street only car I would prefer a 650 or 670 but seems not avaiable in the Eddy Line?

You could try looking for an older Carter performance carb, I see them on ebay a lot. I have one on my 318 and I love it, works great! It is basically the same as the newer edelbrock carbs. I think the one I have is a 600 or 625 cfm carb.

The 600 cfm units (Carter or Holley) for stock to minor mods.

650 (Edel AVS) or 670 (Holley) for typical mods and small cam. Increased gear and stall would bennifit even more so.

750 cfm carbs for some serious ground pounding rides. Increased compresion, large street cam and 3.90/4.10 and up gears. Best if you use this carb for a well built street machine or street/stripper.

I like my Barry Grant Street Demon. It replaced a Carter AFB type Edelbrock, and has been easy to tune and reliable.
