which ignition?

Im currently putting my 70 swinger back together. it had points and a /6 in it. It now sports a magnum v8 and i do have a electronic distributor. what should i go with. I see some people going with electronic, or Hei, etc.

I have an orange box with a engine harness that is in my parts bin that i would have to unwrap to get to the electronic ignition plug and wires.

whats the reliability of the HEI or one of those ebay HEI distributors.

I was in the same conundrum as you are and I decided to go with a skip white HEI style distributor

ive heard of several members who have them on their cars (and even one on a furd) and they are all happy with it

I have an fbo system on my car. Just for the hell of it a couple weeks ago I bought one of those skip white distributors just to try it out. I stabbed it in. fired it up and was impressed.
You really cant go wrong with it. Price is awesome and works fine. I'd go that route first.
Not sure about the reliability of it, only had it a couple weeks

I plan on using the coil that was on my /6. It looks plenty new to me

did you bypass the ballast resistor?
