Based on people experience which intake is better the Eddy air gap or the Mopar M1 dual plane?

Have an opportunity to get a brand new M1 for a good price. Trying to put my 5.9 magnum 70 swinger into the 11's.

Learning toward eddy but wanted feedback on the M1.

Thanks.

The Air Gap is taller, hood clearance might be an issue. I still use the M1 that came on my crate motor (also allows room for an A/C compressor). It let's the 408 motor pull to 6000, but the Edelbrock is probably good for a few more horses.

Not too worried about hood clearance. Has a 6 pack hood scoop someone else installed. Sounds like eddy it is, now to find a good used one. Thanks for the feedback.

I put an Air Gap in my 69 Cuda with a moderately modified 340, and it is AWESOME. I was real close on hood clearance, so I went with 2" high version of the round air cleaner filter. No clearance issues, and high flow, cleanable filter flows plenty of air.

The MP dual plane M1 is a really good unit but it isn’t 11 second time zone good. That M1 is excellent for general purposes. The real Performance game starts with the Edelbrock RPM and will handle 90% of what people are doing with there car.

We have even had a few members run the Magnum RPM vs the MP Magnum single plane M1 and declare, with time slip proof, that the Edelbrock is better and quicker in the 60’ & 1/4 mile.

I think it was member UOP that ran low 11’s with it and the test between intake manifolds as well.

I vote Air Gap. My magnum powered 71 Dart has run 7.47 in the eighth with the air gap which should be good for an 11 second time slip in the 1/4. Also very good street driving and throttle response.
