I have the original 273 drivetrain out of my 67 Valiant with 920 heads but 2bbl. I have a Edelbrock sp2p and a weiand action plus and both have the smaller 273/318 porting. The Weiand is actually on the 340 that is in my car at the moment and will be getting swapped out for an air gap. If you had to choose which would you keep for a mild 273?

My first choice would be the Weiand, but you might try all three & see which one gives you the best performance & fuel mileage...Just my .02...

Weiand. I don't have any experience with either but everyone swears by the LD4B and since those are no longer readily available and I've read the weiand is about as close to a LD4B as you can buy new I'd use that one. But like I said, no personal experience with either

Well in that case, if I had the extra money on hand I'd recommend YOU use the sp2p :D

lol. The sp2p is on a 318 in my garage and I will pop it off later today. I'm trying to clean house still ( in case you didn't notice all of my sale ads)and I am finally able to see the garage floor and my V100 is less of a shelf. The pic is of before the purge

To bad the LD4B wasn't a choice as some guys can't read.... LOL
A VERY GOOD INTAKE FOR SURE!

Considering the 2 choices, the Weiand is the clear winner. The sp2p was developed during the gas crunch years to help with mileage. Leave that one alone. Put it on the car designed for daily work commutes and long distance driving.

Use the Weiand for a power build up.

Great, the Weiand is actually on my engine in my car that is at the body shop. I will have the sp2p in the sale section later today. Thanks for the input guys

Yea I saw you're cleanin out. As I said, wish I had money! My next project is a 67 valiant 4 door that I'm planning on eventually putting an SRT-4 in and could use some of the parts you've been selling.

OH? How are you going to mount it in there and what trans? I would like to see that build. I'm thinking of turboing this 360 Valiant but I don't have a welder or welding and fab skills and farming that out can get pricey.

There are currently 2 or 3 other here on FABO doing the swap prrc I believe is one and I forget the others. I'd probably get an adapter plate that's available to bolt the 2.4 to a regular sb bellhousing and then run an a500. I'd like to keep the interior and exterior fairly stock looking but have a fun, efficient family cruiser for when we have kids.

And there is tons of upgrade stuff on CL for them. I have to look these builds up now. I bet there is tons of room in the engine bay too even after the swap. I also bet there is a better body balance with the STR4 in there than a small block or BB so it should really fly.

Yea especially if you use a true srt4 motor instead of a regular 2.4 with SRT parts since the factory srt4 has an aluminum block where the regular 2.4 is iron. And imagine, a 4 door valiant with paint like this and a quiet exhaust, that makes 300-400hp and still gets upper 20s+ for fuel mileage?? Badass!! Lol

She looks clean. I had a 67 that was that color and had pewter gold interior

I'm not sure what color to paint my 100. I'm pretty far from that point. My Signet is WW1 from factory so I went back to bright white.
