Changing front drum over to disc on 71 dart. Using 73-76 uca and spindles. Before mounting spindles, I would like to know which way is better way to mount calipers. Front or rear facing? Along with that, which brake hose will be best to use, depending on what way I face the calipers? Tia.

I really like "to the rear" because even in my declining age, I have the fantasy that I might upgrade the suspension. Different front anti sway bar might just bring problems

Stock hoses don't fit, I'm told use ?? Camaro or Volare. Make sure you reverse the calipers side to side so you get the bleeders "up."

On the 67-72 A-bodies if you run a factory sway bar you should mount the calipers to the rear and use '69 Camaro disk brake hoses.

If you're not using a sway bar at all, you can mount to the front and use '73-76 A-body hoses. If you're an aftermarket sway bar that doesn't use the '67-72 outboard sway bar tab locations (Hotchkis or Hellwig 55917), you may be able to mount the calipers to the front as the end links will be further inboard. That may require some adjustment though.
