Which k-member is the best one to use,for small block.I have a 69 Dart and have acquired both styles but not sure which one to use,is one easier to get mounts for or easier to work with?
 
73 -up because of the updated spool engine mounts, and redesigned sway bar mounting. you can get engine mounts equally the same.
 
How does the spool mounts effect header fitment?
 
Didn't affect mine. I have spool mounts on a '71 Duster with TTI headers. Starter was tight but I don't thing the K-member had anything to do with that.
 
The spool mounts are better in my opinion because you dont have to worry about the mount failing and the engine flopping around. Just my .02
