I am restoring a 67 Cuda Conv nut and bolt. Just rebuilt the entire front end and was wondering if I should use the new polygraphite bushing or the oem rubber? and why?

Its really an either or especially for a streeter. If your going to Autocross I'd lean more towards poly. If you use the poly you can torque the lower control arm stud while the car is still up in the air. If you do this with the rubber bushings they tend to tear as the Lc arm moves from its unloaded position to its loaded position. Just my 2cents. This question has probably been answered before by far greater minds. You may want to use the search function within the forums to find more info on this or any question that arises.

I used the poly on my 67 vert. The OEM rubber donot hold up as well and they will tear as stated. I don't believe that the poly stiffen up your ride but do provide a firmer feel. Longevity(spelling?) is the main reason to use poly, IMO.
