I'm thinking about building a cold air box, partially to mount my power steering reservoir, partially to keep hot air out...

Its a small hole in the front clip, maybe make a bigger hole in the inner fender similar to what current vehicles do?

Air intake I have is a carbon fiber piece from Arrington Engines, I've been running it on my '09 Challenger SRT8 and looks like it will fit well on the Barracuda. Gotta trim 1/2-1" off to get more clearance for the filter or alter the inner fender.

So, who's done this?

I've never done this but if you cut a larger hole in the radiator support (larger than the small one it now has) you'll get some "ram air" effect to the air filter!! There's a lot of air pressure against the radiator support at 30/40/50 and 60 MPH. If you also enclose the filter space so that the only intake is from the hole in the radiator support you'll get even more ram air effect to your intake!!
 
Put an elbow in & go through the radiator support so the intake is in cooler air.

It looks like you already moved the battery to make room......

That is beautiful! Looks like you opened up the hole in the front. Are you running a 26" radiator? Also, I have a Wizard Radiator (buy local!) What thermostat body and upper radiator hose do you have? I just put a Mishimoto kit on and I'm not real excited about it. Of course, I can't return now.

Hi Steve
Yes I opened up the hole and widened the rad support for a 26" rad - also a Wizard Rad!!! Upper rad hose is NAPA 9128. The thermostat body came with the accessory drive kit from March Performance. I used a Summit Racing #10183 180 deg Thermostat. https://www.hemmings.com/blog/article/modernized-mopar-1969-plymouth-barracuda/
