After removing the trim holding the carpet secure in the trunk divider displayed in post #1, we found a channel/groove machined in the wood on the three sides under the metal moulding. The fourth side (where the hinge attaches) is not finished square but is beveled at maybe a 45 degree angle. What I am saying is: reproducing these things amounts to more than just cutting out a profile perimeter using the old part as a pattern and routing the relief for the larger Formula "S" spare tire. All four edges/sides need to be massaged as well. I have my local carpenter working on it now. Chrysler sure liked to complicate things.
