I agree! Sheriff Taylor was the best of all time. But I do like Andy Gleeson's character also.
 
Sheriff Grady Judd of Polk County Florida,a while back they was lookin for a guy that shot an killed an officer [or two] and a police K9 when they found him they exchanged gun fire and the bad was killed. During the news conferance the reporters asked "Why the bad guy was shot 76 times" Sheriff Judd replied "My officers ran outta ammo" i think he should run for president!
 
Sheriff Joe Arpaio of Arizona came to mind first. But I voted for Buford T. Justice of Texas!

My thought exactly until I opened the thread

Between the 2 would have to go with DODGE sheriff, but seen the when they were on TV for real

Buford t justice was good and loved the movie, and sheriff in WALKING TALL another great one. Best roll model tv sheriff of all times has to be ANDY TAYLOR
