Who was the member making sb cam plate and bolt with hole?

This the one Steve ?

Treed me, lol

What is the benefit of something like this? I am about to begin re-assembly on my mild-build 318. So, if something like this is recommended, now would be the time to pick one up and install it.

You can drill through the plate and a 1/64 hole in the oil galley plug to do the same thing.

That thread pretty much covers it, kinda for hi/Po engines, hi rpm, hi spring rates.
It's a good read, especially for race engines.

Mike, I never did see a follow up on that mod of yours. Must have worked.
It must have worked. I drilled the cam plate and then a tiny hole in the oil galley plug. I'm sure the chain is getting plenty of lube.

For my next batch, would it be better to make the plate with a hole already cut out there?
