This two lane wide load has been all over the local news. From Ohio right past Keystone and a friend got some pictures 1/2 mile from the track. Furnace hood for a local steel mill.

It probably took as long to plan the route and obtain the permits as it did to build the hood!

Ya there was a delay it said on the noon news at the Pa line. Who knows what caused that.

When they still had intentions of launching The Space Shuttle from So. Vandenberg AFB they had to do some major earth moving along the routes the Shuttle may have had to use to reach it's launch complex. When it's loaded on a low-bed behind a power unit it does take up quite a bit of roadway and road shoulders on a 2 lane highway. Slopes had to be cut back. Signs had to be moved

Since i spent most of my adult life working in the transportation industry stuff like that is somewhat normal to me .. I've been involved with probably 2 million loads in my life .
