i found some 5x4 to 5x4 1/2 bolt pattern adapters 1" thick and found some 17X8" rims with a 7" backspace with 275/40 tire will this combo work ? thanks for the help

OK meangreen it's not quite that simple. Are the wheels/tires you are talking about only going on the rear?If so they should work BUT using adapters is never good. For safety reasons you never want to use adapters on the front steer tires. The stock size tire for these cars is about 26 inches tall and you can go about 10 inches wide on the rear.I had 245 40 18's on mine and they never rubbed.

No this info is wrong. The wheels in question have 7" back space and he has a 1" adapter.

You can't put a wheel with 6" of back space on at all.

these are 18x10 wheels with 6.5 backspace

So you have a modified rear suspension.... Whats your point?

Ok… I guess I should clarify….. They will not work unless you relocate the springs.

I didn't post this because the OP didn't mention that he had done a spring relocation.

Yes again it was a stock rear end no modification. Can you understand that?

Maybe in the trunk? Sorry, couldn't resist. Good luck, Meangreen. I'm an old school 14 and 15" guy.
