I have a slant 6 with a 904 behind it and when I put in the 318 with it's own 904 will it locate in the same place as the other one, or will I need new drive shaft/mount/etc?? Anyone who has done a /6- 318 swap please let me know! Thanks! :-k

You will need the transmission kick down linkage from the 318/904 donor. Otherwise, you're good to go. Hope this helps.

All i used in my swap was the throttle bracket. I tossed the trans kickdown and got a Lokar cable. Way easier.

I also went with the lokar kick down cable and the stock small block throttle bracket, new mounts for the /6 to small block swap. Not to sure on the drive shaft thou, I have so many drive shafts layin around i'm not sure if i used the same one or not. But i'm pretty sure the stock one from the /6 will work. But if you have a older 318 in the 60's i think your water pump may have the hoses on the opposite side from your radiator.

All 904 2wd transmissions have the same case length, same tail housing length and same distance from the block face to the trans mount so everything including driveline will both right in.
