I'm building a stroked 360 for a race car/bad a$$ street car.
Particulars:
4.03dia. Diamond forged pistons 510gms, 1/16" rings end gapped
3.79 stroke billet steel crank, balanced assembly
6.123 light weight after market I beam rods
Bored, sq. decked, line bored, oiling mods,
Milodon 8qt pan and pickup
308 pre-magmum heads with 202/1625 SS undercut 11/32 stems
bowl hogged, blended, gasket matched and decked for 64CCs
Racer Brown cam 254*@.050, .546/.520 108CL
RB 1.6/1.5 roller rocker assembly, SB push rods,
Airgap intake w/1" HVM spacer, 750 Mighty Demon
Taylor wires, FBO spark
Calculated final CR 11.4
TTi step headers and complete TTi 2 1/2" exhaust system

Comments on combination if it won't make 500hp are appreciated. (previous info says 480hp@ 6500rpm and 450flbs @4000-thanks).

Sorry, I don't have desktop dyno... but your combo sounds pretty nice. A few questions though. Is that cam a solid or hydraulic? Have you had the heads flowed on a bench? If so, what are the cfm numbers? The port volumes too if you have them.

Hydraulic cam recommended by Jim @ RB
I have not had the heads flowed nor do I have port volumes.
I've calculted that I will need at least 220cfm @ .550 lift to make 500hp with this combination and I think I will have that much from the 308s. The exhaust port on the 308s is the same as the newer style magnums Flow numbers for the magnum exhaust seem to be around 160-170 and should be quit an improvement over the 915s I have worked with before.

Them small block strokers seem to make good power. My guess would be in the 475 to 500 hp area. Sounds like it should put an A-body well into the 11's. Ron
