hey guys,

one of the things left to button up on the scamp is addressing the leaks coming in from the top of the side windows. Ive adjusted the windows and doors to the point where there is still water getting in. I reused the old window channel weatherstrip since it was still in good shape and went back in easy, but obviously its not doing its job. Before i go and spend the 90 dollars on a gasket set for each side, will these actually cure the problem? this probably pretty common to have leaks here and im just wondering if anybody has replaced the gasket and been good to go, or more was required. I mean in reality, they are new and should stop the leaking with proper adjustment, but you just never know

New seals are usually pretty puffed up and can give you some extra sealing.

The old ones are usually hardened and conformed to the window glass from years of use.

Seems like your only option left to try.

yea i guess it is my only option. My old seals seem to be in pretty good shape, but they probably are alot harder than new stuff obviously. Its just that money is getting tight and i dont want to spend the money and not have it work. ah well, live an learn i guess
