will they fit?

i am thinking of takeing off my exhaust headers and going with the plan manafoles. thing is, my car is a 340 car but has a 400 in it. will factory exhaust fit?

Why not go with the Schumachers? Easy fit, lots of groung clearence.

They go in fairly easy, and you can get to the plugs. Dosn't trap the starter if you go with a mini. Thet aren't cheap, but check them out.

the answer to your question is that you would be very lucky to get the manifolds in there comfortably. there just isnt really enough space they will probably hit the inner fenders. your best bet is to keep the fenderwell headers or go with under the frame headers(not sure of the actual name) those might be those schumacher ones keith was talkin about but ive never heard o them either so i dunno, good luck.

i just dont like the idea of my headers draging the ground and the big holes in my fender wells are an eye sore. i seen a 68 in mopar mag and it looked as if he had factory exhaust. dont know what mods he made or had to do.:read2:
