Will this work in an A body console

I'm just wondering if this shifter handle will work in my Hurst shifter for an A body console? I'm not sure what the measurments are for the console but here are the measurments of the handle.

No that won't work. It is a B-body shift handle. The hole in the A-body console is at least 4 inches forward so the handle not only needs to make a 90 degree bend to the right, it has to bend forward 4 inches as well. B-body shifters attach to the tailshaft much further forward.

check out brewersperformance.com they have the knock off hurst shifters for A body with the consoles for $200 I just put one in my 68 GTS

Yeh I got one of those 4speed console shifters from Brewers, they're nicely done. Better than paying upwards of $500 for an original shifter.
