Today I take my Comet to my shop in Roslyn for winter storage. Been my daily driver all summer. I bought an air powered polishing kit from my paint vendor and am in the process of polishing all the bright work for the Barracuda. Did the headlight trimmers and boy, what an easy job it will be to bring everything back to new. Lots of detail painting to do though and I am loosing my weather window to do it. Kind of bumming me out. Guess I will have to install the interior while the weather is cold.
Cheers to all and happy TGIF-------------------DR out---------------:)

Coming?
It's already here in SoCal! Supposed to be 91F today. Extended forecast shows a cold snap coming - forecast for a high temp in the mid-70s for Halloween.
Seriously, I've been waiting for the weather to cool off a bit before my Dart (finally!!!) goes to paint. Going on December 2.
Can't wait! I've only had it for 8+ years and there's finally a light at the end of the tunnel.

95 here. Roslyn, why so far? Gets a lot colder up there than Moses Hole

Thank God we had an Indian Summer here this past week, so I could replace my leaking pool liner! It hit 87 on Tuesday. It should have been in the 60's. The instructions said "wait for 80 degree weather or warmer".

45 here today

I closed the fresh air vents in the duster last week

Can't wait for winter here in Arizona...Will finally be cool enough to start working on the Dart again.
hooking up the aftermarket heater in the fish. really getting cluttered up in the engine bay. forward struts, raised port heads, 440/505, motor plate, alternator under the motor pale where fuel pump should be, 2" tti headers (wrapped)--hate that stuff, fast 2.0 fuel inj. plumbing up front, 2- 1 1/4 tube alum radiator, w/ fan shroad, windshield reservoir, air filter sealing to the 6 pack hood. yada yada yada-----------

Love the winter. Spent 15 long years in the desert. Just when the, weather would start to cool off all the Snowbirds would show up....not only would things be uncomfortably dry but the sky would turn greenish brown (brownish green?) And the haze would get worse. There is a whole lot more to life than cars...

I have to agree that is one downside to living in the Valley..but for Us this is where we want to be until we leave this life. Been here since 2011...seems the snowbirds arrive earlier each year and there are more of them.

Well, I am getting the snow machines ready today so all is of lost------Polaris liquid cooled wedge-chassis, the shoebox of snowmobiles:) let it snow, we can do both!

Everyone be sure to check the antifreeze
in all engines......
I pick a day
raise the hoods on all vehicles and equipment
check them, if good, close the hood
( makes it easier to keep up with the ones needing attention)
same day, clean the fire place in the house
and the shop heater > waste oil burner

I don't mind the winter,
tracks closed,
so move indoors,
work on the next project.
84 Rampage
got the floor slid in, next secure the body to the tube chassis,
finish the wiring and fuel system,
watch for the tracks to open > mid FEB.

I lived in East Mesa, right behind Red Mountain Park. Population easily went up threefold when the birds showed up. Driving become a major nightmare...

Same here in Sun City West...about 10,000 in summer to 35,000 in winter. They are rebuilding the intersection at Bell and Highway 60 so we have a bunch more traffic going through here right now..Spent 3 weeks in Mesa in October when I was RVing...can't say I was very fond of that side of the Valley.
