1997 dodge ram van. when engaged the wipers sweep across the windshield back & forth like normal but when you turn em off they park at the far left of their sweep pattern (11 o'clock). any thoughts on what this might be? thank you for your time. RR

I would check the wiper motor shaft to see if it slipped first. I think those have the tapered spline output shaft. If not that, then the cam that operates the park limit switch has broken or slipped out of time, or the internal limit switch has moved out of position.

Or the wiper switch's park cir is not functioning correctly.

I'm just getting started on this. here's a pic

It's a typical four wire with ground two speed wiper motor. Here's how the electrical circuit operates.

good info (gotta love utube!). what puzzles me is that the wipers will move & park when you shut em off but they park in the wrong position. I will get after it, thank you. RR

Here’s a replacement unit for a 2002
Neon. I’m suspecting that you’ll find similar to the same arrangement and that the arm has slipped on the tapered splines.
