Replacing wiper bushings on 74 Dart with 3speed wipers and the linkage which connects to motor has this bushing/washers, judging by the grinding on wiper linkage arm, I assume its incorrect, the white plastic dorman piece seems to snap in but has some play due to the grinding...which is correct?

Probably best to post in parts wanted for undamaged linkage with correct bushing in it. Good luck

Yeah that metal setup in your pictures is not factory. By ‘73 they were plastic bushings. One of mine (‘75) broke a couple of years ago so I replaced it with another plastic bushing.

Given the wear on your arm, it’s best to find another arm as yours is going to chew through plastic bushings with that much play. It’s a tight fit, best to put heat up (boiling water) the bushing before putting the female bushing end on one arm then then snapping the male bushing end into the other arm. It’s gonna take some time since there’s not a lot of room up there.

I'd get another set of linkage of the same type. 2 speed and 3 speed have some different parts. What does the drive link pin look like? Any damage there and I'd replace that too.
