I know you guys get this all the time, but I need help with my 76 Dart Swinger. The P.O. messed up the wiring as usual and the motor was apart when i got it, so I can't make heads or tails of it. I need to know which wire to look for to get power from the switch to the coil and where ever else it needs to go to start the car. Is there some way I can come from the ballast res, or do I need to come from somewhere else. Thanks in advance for the help.
 
It can be a bit hard to describe without having the wiring diagram in front of you. Most of these cars have been through numerous owners who have done one thing or another to cobble up the wiring. If you don't have a diagram you will become lost in no time.
 
Every car that I've had with a hacked up harness I've just spent the money on a new harness. No questions, no iffy splices, etc etc. Just my 2cents.
 
Not a bad way to go Mike, but being the cheap person that I am AND having electronic skills I have gone through the harnesses and fixed them where they needed fixing.
 
Painless builds a universal Mopar harness pn. 10127. It is Chrysler color coded and gives you plenty of wire to cover bumper to bumper.
