I was wondering what someone else thoguht this was worth.
To me it looks like a nice solid car but since it's taken apart I can't drive it and it's bee ntwo years since it ran.
I did talk to the current owner and he doesn't want to let it go for less than $6000 unless it is without engine & trans.
So waddaya think it's worth?

From watching these and seeing several sell being it is not a Formula S I would have to say if the engine and trans were installed and she was driveable between 4500 and 5000. As it sits I would have to say around 3500 being the motor is out and needs reinstalled.

I agree with chryslerfat for the most part. Maybe $500 more on his high end though, and thats based on the fact that in the pics the interior looks like its in good to VGC. If I was looking to buy it Id offer him around 3000 to 3500 without the engine and trans. I think youd be better off with a 340 than a 360 (just my opinion)

There were running-driving 65's and 66's @ MMW going from 2900 to 5500 which the later was not a formula but it was a very nicely restored 273 commando automatic bucket seat car.

Nice!! But where can I get a front sway bar at for Victoria??

Mike,

There are typically ADDCO (#751 I think) bars on eBay for right around $100. In fact I bought a pair, front and rear for under $200 a couple years back. The factory bars are out there, just make sure you get the matching lower control arms and all the brackets and links.

The ADDCO bar does not require tabbed control arms as it comes with brackets. It also comes with brackets for the K-member. The brackets are OK I guess, but once everything is aligned weld them in place and add a beef-up plate or two.

Factory sway bars for the early A's are out there, although it might take some time to locate one. I've managed to accumulate 4 of them (3 thru ebag and 1 from this list over the last 4 years. LCAs up through (I believe) 72 that have the sway bar tabs on the outer end will work for the early A's making that search a little easier. I have an Addco 1 & 1/8 in bar (without any other hardware) that looks to be the same width as an early A. I don't think it'd be too hard to fab up some brackets to fit in the original spots on the K frame.

Thanks for the info and time.
I will keep this in mind when the time comes to get some sway bars on Victoria, for know I am concentrating on the low deck 170 slant build.
and getting the 8 3/4 rear end ready to go in.
Some times I get a head of my self. As most of us know:-D
I have 66aCUDA for my slant six motor builder and racer for a neighbor just an hour away and he is keeping me in line in the motor department.
