I won the Good Guys All American Nationals @ Lucas Oil Raceway last night!

My truck is currently out of commission, so I had to drive my car to the track...but since I was competing in a class called "Street Machine 1", I figured it was appropriate. I got there and found out that the requirements for the class were that your car was faster than 11.99 and made between 1955-1972. Oh well, it felt good to drive to the track anyway.

I think I was the lone Mopar in my class...lots of GM stuff. The only reason I mention that is when I was in the semi final, some genius said "hey, it is an all GM semi final". I just looked at him...look at my car...looked back with a puzzled look on my face....finally someone else said, "no, he has a Mopar". Then the guy made a crack about it going to be an all GM final....HA!! Sorry fellas, not gonna happen. I gave that guy the dial up and WOMP WOMP WOMP treatment, lol. My car was SUPER consistent all night. I had just put new tires on the day before, and WOW did it pay off. I laid down a string of 10.78-79's (one 10.80 when I first got there).

The time slip is from the final. I was dialed to breakout, so I dragged him down the track and dropped him in the last It 30 feet and broke him out. Fun race, and a GREAT night!!

2 more pics, just for grins...and no, the perfect light was not in competition. Those always happen in time runs, lol.

That's great ! way to represent !

Good job! Who ever it was that said it was an all Generic motors final. Now, knows what a MOPAR is. Congratulations on your win. I'm sipping a Bourbon for you!

Maybe he meant "Great Mopar" :) congrats on the cool win!

EXCELLENT !!!
Doesn't get any better then that and by no means an easy feat.

Now the dufus clone Generic Motors Corp owners know what a Mopar is. Although nothing really amazes me anymore I can't imagine anybody running in that class could be that ignorant and I'm sure they were just poking fun. My Cuda's plate is 65 FISH, is badged Plymouth on the hood latch and across the deck lid and it's remarkable how many people ask me what year it is and who makes it.

Thanks guys! Now if I could just find a way to put up a "W" in my regular bracket series I would be set. I have had a bad start to the racing season, but things are turning around :). I think the new tires are definitely key.

good job, bud!!!!

looks like that E85 is working out good for you too, I see.
I had a decent day yesterday until I went stupid with 6 cars left in the Summit Super Series race. I ran dead on with a zero twice yesterday, and dead on with a five another time. that was the only three times I had to run the car to the stripe without being on the brakes.

E85 is awesome, and I will never go back to gas.

good job again!

Great job on the win! Havent even been to the track this year, maybe in a few weeks.
