woodgrain steering wheel restoration

I would like some info on restoring the woodgrain finish on my 69 dart steering wheel. Has anyone restored one before? Mine has 1 crack at the 12 oclock position. How do you put the grain finish on and what material and colors do I use> Any help would be appreciated.I would like to do this myself. Thanks Steve.

I googled "steering wheel restoration" and came up with a lot of sites that can restore yours. toolman

I don't know how to do it and have not tried, but I have seen kits and instructions.

On Big Block Dart "Pinke" Sue restores rimblow wheels and they have a woodgrain look also. She may restore other wood look wheels.

I also know another guy that restores the rim blow if you decide you want to get it restored contact me and I will find contact info.
