World Series

Great pic. Wish I was old enough to have seen Koufax pitch.
Weird series, with Yankmess showing their strength with Homers, but that's about it. Brain farts killed them.
Kinda ironic that yesterday was bullpen day for LA and it didn't work out, but today it did and they blew threw every last one of them, except Hudson?
Treinen was a beast and Buehler with the cherry on top.
Congrats to LA.

One of my favorites from a few years ago.

I was thinking they brought Treinen in too early, that they were going to be one pitcher short.
I was fearful that Robert's was going to toss Hudson in the 8th when he went to the mound. So glad he left Treinen in.

I agree - Treinen pitched his dick off. The guy's an absolute stud.

Roberts still had a few left in the bulpen - Casparius, Knack, Hudson, and Brent Honeywell. The worst relievers on the team mind you. That's why Roberts managed a great series though. Sure they lost yesterday's game, but he knew he had a loaded arsenal going into today and the leash was short for Jack Flaherty knowing tomorrow was an off day. And we all saw how throwing the Yankees best relievers day after day caught up with them. Just imagine if the Dodgers had a healthy rotation (Glasnow, Gavin Stone, Kershaw, Gonsolin, Dustin May...).

NY and LA are the US biggest towns. With vastly different culture. So for them to come together in the name of sportsmanship via "America's past time?" I salute them.

After that. As a MN Twins fan? No team deserves defeat more than a damn Yankee. And no team is less worthy of a win than a stinking Dodger.

Bah Humbug! Lol.

Gerrit Cole turned into a spectator, would've been a close play, but should've been on His horse to 1st as soon as that ball was struck.....2 disappointing losses for Him.
Teoscar Hernandez was the Dude that pounded the piss out us when the Pirates played LA, We shut Ohtani & pretty much Frehman down, but TH had the Buc's number......
Congrats LA Dodgers.

Wtf was Cole thinking just standing and pointing to 1st lol. That WOULD have been the 3rd out. Instead he was thinking of getting to the dugout lol.
As a Blue Jays fan, it sucked to see Teo and Gueriele leave.

Congratulations Dodgers for your 2024 World Series Championship!

I was fortunate enough to have seen Sandy Koufax pitch several times at Dodger Stadium and also on television. Besides All-Star and World Series games, the Dodger/Giants games from San Francisco were always shown on TV when I was growing up.
The one pitching matchup I will always remember seeing at Dodger Stadium was Sandy Koufax and Bob Gibson.

Bob Gibson is another one! California is flooded with baseball teams(and hockey), so you're lucky to have those available to you.
Thanks for sharing!

While I have never been accused of being the biggest fan of baseball ever, I am happy to see the 'DODGErs' win!
Anyone but the Spankees.

<~~~~~ saw this kid named sumthin' Aaron play in Dodger Stadium's Rookie Year. Think he was a rookie too. Braves were still in Milwaukee

Is there a meme or reel out there yet showing rioters burning a bus while Kool and the Gang "Celebrate" plays in the background?

It's been done. Watkins Glen 50 years ago.
Time to come up with something original.

funniest thing i've seen today regarding the 5th inning: "lots of highly-paid people lost their goddamn minds at approximately the same time."
