So I had a talk with my regional manager today to discuss my new pay plan for 2013. Well nevermind the fact that I increased sales $65,000 this year vs last year that doesn't matter to him he now wants me to work 6 days a week and only get a bonus if I net $6000 a week. Now some of you would say eh that isn't hard what's that take a couple days of the week. No I have no foot traffic and I rely on my body shop to keep me going because we have no signage to let people know I'm here. I average $4500 a week on my good weeks so this is a giant "You don't deserve a raise" to me. I'm so angry right now. I took a 50% pay cut as it was to work here cause I needed a job and I was promised much greater things to get me in the door here that never happened. Guess I will be updating my resume.

Well if there is one thing I learned in life is when someone promises if you do this you will get that. Then when youdo it they don't come thru and change the game plan. It's time to cut your losses and move on.

Sorry

tuff to do....but suck it up...continue to work as hard as you have been....and actively search for someone/something that meets your needs....hard workers are tuff to find....screw offs are a dime a dozen.

when you find it...offer the customary 2 weeks (most idiots will ask you to leave immediatly....no problem)....

if your good at what you do...which it appears you are....you will find the right home

I've been in the same position....upper management always wanting to raise the bar...change the game, always in their favor......they get one shot, after that, first opportunity....I'm gone, with my head high, and not looking back.....and NO second chance for them

Sorry to hear this. Damn shame companies now a days really care about their workers. I know alot of people here think unions are bad but sometimes thats what is needed to make companies pay a decent wage. Time to start looking for a new job and get them to put any agreement in writing. Don't get mad and burn bridges you may need a reference good luck in your search.

I need this damned License bullsh!t over with then I can walk into any shop anywhere a dominate. I took this job because they didn't care about my license status and I think they are using that to their advantage.

You know they say doing the same thing over and over is the definition of insanity. I have been insane for the last 4 years. I had it good, I had a place that really cared about me and my well being and I screwed it up by being an idiot. Hindsight being 20 20 if I could have 30 minutes of my life back I would be in a better place.

Didn't GM and Chrysler promise their retirees this and that, only to later on declare bankruptcy and cut those benefits...yep, why I don't see me buying a post 2008 car from those guys.

....

As for your job hunt, good luck and try for sure not to let the cat out of the bag

It was the EPA and those equal work rules that sent our jobs over to China. Now China has air you can not breathe and gosh knows how many on the job work deaths and injuries.

China is so messed up and the USA has too many regulations. The air is so bad in Beijing China the pollution goes off the scale..and its winter time, wait until summer hits

You making any progress with that nightmare?

Keep your job, and put out feelers to shops who might be interested in you and your qualities. Right now, it's an employers market and the could give a rats *** less as to whether or not the give you a raise for all the "extra" stuff you put into their business. Above all I've found that if promises are made, ask to have it put in writing by the supervisor. And have the individual making them sign and date the paper, as well as his immediate supervisor. That way when you ask for "said" promises, you have something to back you up. Just my .02 worth.
