Wrong Filter?

So I know now that I have been using the wrong trans filter for about 15 years. The deep pan kit we got for my 65 had the extension and filter in it but there is only one hole. Anyone know what the long term effects of using the wrong filter would be?

I didn't think the 65's filter was different than the newer trans. I too have the single hole filter in my 65 barracuda. I don't remember there being 2 holes in the one I took out. It works just fine.

I just found out that the 65 did indeed have the 2 port valve body. Guess I'll be swapping my filter.
It has been working fine though. I'll still replace it.

65 transmissions had both a front and rear pump, which as I understand it was the reason for the 2 hole filters. Also with the F & R pumps, the car could be push started if need be.
