I'm looking for the standard wheel horn trim for a 68 Barracuda, or other mopars that this style wheel was used. Does anyone know where I can find this horn button and trim? Also maybe some advice on what model cars this wheel could have been found on other than the Barracuda and Coronet?

This is the steering wheel I'm trying to find or make using a classic industries repro wheel.

I'm not trying to get in the way of a sale, but I believe the picture you show is a 1967 steering wheel, and the wheels did change for 1968. Look at the post below for a 1968 steering wheel.

Actually you bring up the point I have been trying to research. I want to put this steering wheel horn trim in my 1970 Dart with a reproduction standard wheel from classic industries, but I cant confirm if the 67 wheel will fit the column properly or would it be more logical to buy the 1970 wheel and ask if the 67 horn trim will fit that wheel so it matches the column? If you put the wheels side by side the obvious difference is the size at the column and the finish of the rubber but the horn button is different for the 70 also. I wonder also if there is another piece that is needed to install the horn button itself or is that a part with the horn trim?

As soon as I can confirm what I would like to do is possible a sale will be made ! Thank you for bringing up the topic.

you are referring to the optional wheel that appeared in 68 and came either color keyed or woodgrain .....that was an extra cost optional wheel from 68- 70 (68/9 A-body) 68-70 B-body)

if the new car buyer didn't want to spend more on a steering wheel in 68 then they got the same basic wheel as 67 but the centers changed. All the centers interchange on the same basic standard wheel as 67

examples are: the same re-pop classic wheels with different optional centers. 68 and 9

1970 changed so the older wheel will bolt up but it wont look very good. 70 was the first year the key was mounted on the column so the column diameter at the wheel opening end got larger

some trim will interchange from 68/9 to certain 70+ wheels but the basic wheel stating in 70 is different because of the center hub diameter

Thank you very much for this information. Now one question remains for me, the difference between the 67 and 68 wheels is the centers, but is there any hardware change that happened also? I assume if I buy a complete 67 wheel and want to swap the trim and button to a 70 wheel it will work without issue correct? What if I wanted to swap a 68 button onto a 67 trim?

For example, I would like to install this 68 horn button on a 67 horn trim, if I have a complete 67 wheel with hardware can I do this?

Will this 68 button install on a 67 wheel horn trim? Was there a difference between the mounting hardware of the horn buttons between the different years that would prevent it from swapping over?

I bought a very nice used horn ring and cap with the "fratzog" logo cap like you have pictured . I planned on buying a blue reproduction wheel and putting it on my 70 dart as well! I haven't gotten around to it yet. I believe that my horn ring was from a '68 coronet. I'll be pa ting close attention to this thread.

I also just noticed that my horn ring has pieces of chrome that extend towards the column in between the spokes. So it looks like it wouldn't fit on the 1970 style wheel due to it have a larger diameter hub. Is there any difference in the materials or grain/pattern from the 67-69 style and the 70 style?
