More block description please.
Possible block part number?

the standard x block height is 9.600. back in the 90's we did a x block with a 3.79" stroke with b1 ba heads that ran 42 passes in 1 night at epping, all 10 second passes- in a Dart- a world record

R blocks were available in many different flavors. My research, memory, old DC catalogs, etc, seems to indicate these blocks were all 9.600 deck height, 3.91 rough bore because they were run on a 318 line, and available in 2 bolt or with high strength 4 bolt caps on 2, 3, and 4.

The X blocks have thicker cylinder walls than the LA variety. There should be no problem at 4.070

I know that, but from what I heard anything over 4.070 should be sonic checked on these blocks..3.91 is rough bore when new so it probably has been rebuilt twice already......just seeing if he has sonic check paperwork before spending 1900.00 dollars
