flowmasters are crap and guarantee you gain power with a better muffler.

LOL. mike really? cmon, however valid that may be, were talking like 2 or 3...i cant see gaining any more than that...if this was an all out full tilt effort to get every single ounce of power for a racing/strip application, then yea, but its a street car....

keep the mufflers, save yer money for your suspension, i know u need that done!

Better mufflers flow 800 +cfm

and there have been dynos with more power. Also I believe those numbers were to the wheels...meaning more to flywheel.

The chart in your link shows a loss of less that 5-hp vs the top HP, Warlocks.

The chart also show the Flowmaster as 4th on quietness (of the ones listed).

BIG.................... deal.

I think the vid sounds good. The real test will be driving it. I see tail pipes in your future.

Dyno was done a mustang. theres your problem.

Lol I know. I just never liked flowmasters once I found out how crappy of a muffler they actually are.

So what was the point of posting that link?

Please understand. We are not all you. Most of the premium performance mufflers are very close when it comes to HP/TQ numbers.

After that it is sound tuning and for many this is equally important.

Not everyone is after the "flavor of the month" muffler that happens to pull the best numbers on a who knows what combo.

Sounds great to me run it down the road and let us here it go through the gears a few times. Move Over Passer Approaching Rapidly.

When he asked me DIRECTLY which mufflers do you have, sounds like he does not want the ones he has, and wants different mufflers, and likes the way the car sounds. Especially when he has my exhaust setup up to the mufflers, for now.

The point was to show that the flowmasters are for that point exactly...SHOW aka sound not performance.

I know more about his car than anyone hear. I speak from personal experience with his car, as of right now he needs all the power he can get.

I drove it today on my lunch break I uncapped my cut outs and let her open up real Good and let me just say it effin hauls *** big time first gear is insane second and third as well as for 4th ran out of pavement so brought her down none the less it sounds great from inside the car I'll get a video soon as I can mount a camera somewhere

I noticed your not the only one who noticed the tail pipes. How much of a difference does that make compared to dumping them after the muffler??

A huge difference. If you have turndowns after the muffler, the sound waves tend to bounce of the ground and reflect into the floorpans. You hit a certain rpm and the wavelength of the sound matches the natural frequency of the car's body and BINGO!!! You get this wonderful thing called harmonic resonance where the entire car is vibrated by the sound of the exhaust causing skull cracking, migrain inducing, teeth grinding noise in the cabin.

You purchase mufflers for the reason of legall sound limits and saving your wallet from going emptier faster cause when Johny Law writes that ticket, it's expensive and it didn't make your car go faster.

So, since your needing mufflers, you ethier purchase them for sound or max power. Both is great and what Itry to do, but to some, this is of little concern since street driving isn't racing. Or racing for the money.

I like the sound a whole lot.
